OVS industry is structured with a company Quality Assurance department to guarantee that the quality of the products released for sale, corresponds to the standards outlined in terms of in-house requirements in relation to production, materials and procedures, in respect of current legislation.

The Quality Assurance department draws up the product quality standards to be met by all suppliers in Italy and abroad and carries out constant reviews of the "Production Requirements" to adapt them to growing demands in terms of standards.

Product quality control is carried out with random inspections directly on the premises of the Italian suppliers and in the Italian reconditioning points for imported goods.

For foreign suppliers, controls are carried out locally by the organizations dedicated to quality on the company premises in the main production countries.

OVS industry collaborates with certifying boards and specialized laboratories like INTERTEK, world leader in the supply of services in the field of quality, product safety and social responsibility.

This enables the assurance of certifications and checks to verify that operations are carried out and comply with the standards regulating various sectors:

  • Clothing
  • Electrical products
  • Toys
  • Articles which might come into contact with food
  • Cosmetics

and to verify conformity with the customs laws in force.

For many childrenswear and underwear products OVS industry is certified by Oeko-Tex 100 (class I and II). This standard verifies and certifies the production processes with checks during the manufacturing phases, from raw materials, to products in progress and finished products, checking the levels of noxious chemical substances contained in the garments which have to comply with the parameters set by the same standard.

This standard is the standard reference parameter in many European countries. OVS industry, as a company of Gruppo Coin S.p.A., complies with the rules of the Group "Code of Conduct", which provides for:

  • Rules of conduct for Group suppliers;
  • Company audits carried out by internal technical staff and by third parties
  • Environmental policies at the production sites.

The respect for the rights of workers and the environment makes OVS industry a company actively pursuing a socially responsible policy.
